November 15th Blog Jaret Corwin

I was reading the theology of the body book and it talking about self-image and how you see yourself. In health class I was also assigned to see how the media portrays beauty to people and those can tie together in a way. Seeing all those people with fancy cars and clothing they want you to think that if you do what they do you'll have whatever they have. It's distorts our self-image by thinking we need to change ourselves to "fit in" they want us to be the person that we would never usually be which is portrayed as "cool". It also makes you feel "happy" to follow everyone else which is totally wrong because why would you be happy living basically the same way someone else does don't you want to be different.
